The Melling M295HV is a high-volume, standard-pressure oil pump designed for compatible GM Gen III/Gen IV LS wet-sump engine applications. It is a strong upgrade for LS engines that need improved oil delivery, especially high-mileage engines, stock-cam LS builds, street/strip swaps, and engines showing lower oil pressure at idle.
This pump is designed to flow approximately 18% more oil than the standard GM 12710303 oil pump, helping support better lubrication throughout the engine and improved idle oil pressure. It is commonly used on compatible 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L LS-based engines that use the M295-style oil pump setup.
